This was my first group exhibition in San Francisco.

Jean-Claude Lemagny was something of a legend when I met him in his office in the Bibliotheque Nationale de France. He was very kind and bought a bunch of B & W prints for the collection. He sent me the catalog for the exhibit in which my prints hung – I don’t know how many since I couldn’t attend. You can see the book cover below for the exhibition entitled La Matiere, L’Ombre, La Fiction.

Musee de L’Elysee in Lausanne is one of the places I visited in the 90s that bought prints for their collection. The exhibition in which my images appeared was called Images: Comme dans un Miroir. I was never able to attend it, but I did get a copy of the exhibition catalog which is a handsome large book. You can see pictures of the cover and first page below.

I was very happy to make this exhibition at the American Cultural Center in Brussels. At that time it was right in the Port de Namur plaza, on the ground floor. Mr. Van Kerkhove very kindly printed a poster on glossy paper which you can see in the images below. It was a large show but I have no record of how many images I showed. It was similar to the Holtmann show – over 30, with Black and White and my early color, some very large.

I was very happy to get my second exhibition with Heinz and Nina Holtmann. It was a large exhibition with 35 photos, many of them large murals. The exhibition ran for about a month and a half.

This is one of two art fairs that my prints were shown during. The Frankfurt Art Fair was also massive and incredible to walk around.

This was my first exhibition. It was a group exhibition with 2 other artists, but I had an entire room – enough space to mount the whole 21 series – 21 16×20″ photos. The exhibition ran for a month.
