I mounted this exhibition in my downstairs gallery and apartment. It was the first real retrospective exhibition of my work. I made the exhibition to finally use the gallery I built before I was forced to move. It was part of a city wide two weeks of events I helped to organize, mainly to protest the epidemic of evictions of artists and other San Franciscans. I can only post photos now that I took of the gallery and apartment for myself, not on Valentine’s Day itself, but many videos and photos of the event were made by others.

Jean-Claude Lemagny was something of a legend when I met him in his office in the Bibliotheque Nationale de France. He was very kind and bought a bunch of B & W prints for the collection. He sent me the catalog for the exhibit in which my prints hung – I don’t know how many since I couldn’t attend. You can see the book cover below for the exhibition entitled La Matiere, L’Ombre, La Fiction.

1993/02/18 EXHIBITION – American Cultural Center (Brussels)

I was very happy to make this exhibition at the American Cultural Center in Brussels. At that time it was right in the Port de Namur plaza, on the ground floor. Mr. Van Kerkhove very kindly printed a poster on glossy paper which you can see in the images below. It was a large show […]

I was very happy to make this exhibition at the American Cultural Center in Brussels. At that time it was right in the Port de Namur plaza, on the ground floor. Mr. Van Kerkhove very kindly printed a poster on glossy paper which you can see in the images below. It was a large show but I have no record of how many images I showed. It was similar to the Holtmann show – over 30, with Black and White and my early color, some very large.

1992/11/18 EXHIBITION – Spectrum Gallery (SF)
1992/03/20 EXHIBITION – Galerie Heinz Holtmann (Cologne)

I was very happy to get my second exhibition with Heinz and Nina Holtmann. It was a large exhibition with 35 photos, many of them large murals. The exhibition ran for about a month and a half.

This is one of two art fairs that my prints were shown during. The Frankfurt Art Fair was also massive and incredible to walk around.

1991/12/04 EXHIBITION – Galerie Antoine Candeau (Paris)
