EXTRACT FROM A SERIES OF 3 PICTURES
Jarek is one of several Polish émigrés I knew who had come to SF before the fall of the Berlin Wall. We became friends and he later lived some weeks with me at Walter Street. I took three shots of him as we talked. When I asked him to raise a hand he shouted out the future title of the series. This series is perhaps the most photographic in style of any I have made to date.
