When I began shooting color, I again asked friends and acquaintances if they would model for me. Daniel was someone I met over the Pool table at the Albion bar in the Mission District. One day I brought my camera and a couple lights into the bar when it was empty during the early afternoon and we did 3 photos which became the series “Pool”. The first is the most realistic but I loved the chalky texture of it as well as the color and composition.
